Privacy Policy

DriveThruDaily ("we," "us," "the site") is operated by Kate Ollinger LLC, a Tennessee limited-liability company. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have about it.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the email address you submit. If you send us a message through our contact form, we collect your name, email address and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect basic technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type, device type, referrer, the pages you view, and the time of your visit. This information is used for aggregate analytics and, in a limited way, for security (blocking abusive traffic).
2. How we use information
- To deliver newsletters you've subscribed to and to respond to messages you send us.
- To measure aggregate site traffic (which articles are read, referrer breakdown, roughly which regions our readers are in).
- To serve programmatic display advertising through Google Ads (see section 4).
- To detect and block abusive traffic (scraping, denial-of-service attempts).
3. Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies to remember reading preferences and to measure aggregate traffic. Third-party cookies may be set by our advertising provider (Google Ads); see the next section.
4. Third-party services
Google Ads. Display advertising on DriveThruDaily is served through Google Ads. Google may set cookies and use similar technologies to measure ad performance and personalise advertising. Google's practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can control personalised advertising via Google's Ads Settings.
Email delivery. Newsletter emails are delivered through a standard transactional email provider. Your email address is used only for the newsletter and to reply to messages you send us.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Retention
Newsletter subscriber addresses are retained until you unsubscribe (there is an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every issue). Contact-form submissions are retained for up to two years, then deleted.
7. Your rights
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing privacy@drivethrudaily.example. Depending on your jurisdiction (California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, the European Union and the United Kingdom), you may have additional statutory rights; we will honour them within the timeframes those laws require.
8. Children
DriveThruDaily is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will post the updated policy here with a new "Last updated" date and, where practical, notify newsletter subscribers by email.
